Richard Spangler: Richard founded PoleFlyers in 2008 with the vision
of providing a safe and nurturing environment for local pole vaulters
of all ability levels to practice. He currently serves as the
Chairman of the Board of Directors. Richard is a Level I and Level II
certified USATF coach. He has completed the pole vault safety
curriculum through the National Pole Vault Coaches Association, and is
certified by the Pole Vault Safety Certification Board. He is a
certified USATF official and is CPR and first aid certified by the
American Red Cross. Richard also coaches at Green Hope High School.

Kelly Furr: After a successful collegiate pole vaulting career which ended in 2007 with a
personal best of 13’8”, she returns to the sport in a new capacity as
a coach. Kelly has been coaching at PoleFlyers since
2009. Kelly is a Level I and Level II USATF certified coach and is CPR and first
aid trained by the American Red Cross.

Bobby Hostler: Bobby is one of the best high school pole vaulting
coaches in the state and has an impressive record. In addition to
coaching at PoleFlyers, Bobby coaches at Millbrook High School where
he also teaches math. At the 2010 Indoor High School States, Bobby
personally coached the top three 4A boys and the 4th place 4A girl.

Mark Trezona: Mark has been a well respected pole vault coach in Wake
County for many years. He currently coaches at Apex High School where
he teaches chemistry. He is certified with PVSCB and has completed
the Basic PV Curriculum from the NPVCA.

Todd Erbst: Todd has 10 years of pole vault coaching experience, most
recently at Broughton High School. Professionally he is a physical
therapist. Todd is a Level I USATF coach and is PVSCB safety
certified. Todd is also the inventor of “The Perfect Plant” device.
